We were so struck by this number that we created a list of simple and inspirational ways to make shopping more eco-friendly. We believe they can make a big difference. Shopping trends will change dramatically if we switch to eco-friendly bags and premium eco-friendly straws and other home products.

There is so much happening in the world that it is in your best interests to minimize your negative impact on the environment. You can help the environment by purchasing in a way that is less harmful to the planet.
Local vendors are a good option. Local vendors will often have items that aren't available elsewhere. When delivering goods, companies waste natural resources and release a lot of harmful gases into the atmosphere. This problem can be avoided by buying items made or gathered locally.
Plastic straws pose a serious threat to the ocean and can often end up in the hands of wildlife. Choosing a reusable straw is better than a disposable straw. We're willing to bet that you're using a lot of plastic straws in one week. Stainless steel straws are durable and won't alter the taste of your drinks. They also come in many sizes, including regular water straws and thick bubble tea straws.
Plastic bags and wrapped fragments end up in the soil. They can release harmful chemicals or be eaten by marine animals. Non-toxic, washable wraps made from cotton and beeswax can be used to wrap sandwiches, preserve fruits or greens, or cover leftovers.
